Highside Dynamics

There is another mechanism which can cause a highside. When exiting a corner getting on the gas a bit early or too hard may cause the rear end to step out. Most riders will "chop" or shut the throttle hoping to bring the bike in line.

As with releasing the rear binder this will cause, not prevent an accident. A better technique is to keep a steady throttle and allow the excess energy to be bled off by the slide. Worst case is that you will get off on the lowside, a preferred alternative.
