An Ugly Fact To Have To Deal With

Hello!

I recently found your page while "surfing" tonight. I have been riding for 20+ years and whenever I see "riding tips."  I always check them out. I love to read something I never thought of before! I'm not beyond learning a new trick. The list you have is excellent in content and provided some great reading. I am preparing to leave for Daytona in a little over a month and have been perusing sites like yours to help give me those little "reminders".

Just a note on the "Eyes Pop Out" article. Should you choose to write the EMT who advised you he had never seen that he could run a few calls in high speed areas that are prone to accidents.  I have only been an EMT for 9 years and have witnessed it twice. First off, it doesn't even need to be a high speed accident. Secondly, it cannot be treated in the field. Our training requires us to learn how to roll a gauze donut and how to properly use it in conjunction with a dixie cup to provide maximum protection for the eye until the patient can be treated in the ER.

So I can attest that yes, it does happen. And no,...it's not pretty.

Keep up the great work - I will be steering people your direction to brush up on their reading.
