The prime contractor for the military motorcycle training programs, Cape Fox Professional Services is apparently being investigated according to stories in the news. http://www.usatoday.com/money/econo...16_ST_N.htm.

Cape Fox, an "Alaska Native Corporation," apparently abused set-asides and no-bid contract provisions to garner government contracts. Among its many contracts with the US Military, Cape Fox provided motorcycle rider training programs to the Army, Navy, and Marines. http://www.propublica.org/article/r...-corporation

And so forth... http://www.google.com/search?q=Cape...nt=firefox-a

From what I'm reading this appears to be a summary of failures in the ANC program based on CFPS. However, it looks like the investigation is a few years old.

I do part-time work occasionally for CFPS, running track days. Recently they won a contract with the Air Force to provide training on those bases as well. If this were still an issue for the company, I can't fathom why the Air Force would sign a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract with CFPS.

This story was updated 2 days ago. http://www.propublica.org/article/r...corporation.

Here are a couple of additional links to Cape Fox's involvement in motorcycle safety training:

Cape Fox Professional Services became a Corporate Member of the SMSCA two years ago. http://www.smsa.org/links_of_intere...hp#Corporate

The Honda "Smart Trainer" is used as part Cape Fox's Navy Programs. http://newsguide.us/index.php?path=...ty-Contract/

It also appears that Cape Fox Professional Services and the MSF have been "cooperating at high levels" on the Cape Fox Professional Service military motorcycle training programs. http://www.capefoxtraining.com/staff/bobbie.html

Roberta Carlson was with MSF for quite some time before joining Cape Fox Professional Services. http://mahonkin.com/~milktree/motor.../page-29.pdf
