This will be my third attempt to post so it will be short and sweet. If it posts successfully I will edit it and add links.

I was given a mustang one piece seat by my daughter and my wife. The installation instruction say to remove the old seat and use some parts out of it for the mustang seat. Instead I bought new parts since I don't know what I will do with the stock seat yet.

I picked up the rubber seat mounting, the muff collar, and the socket bolt. I have not tried to install it yet but in looking at the seats the bracket that they fit into is different in the 2 seats. On the stock seat it is open (like an open end wrench) and on the mustang seat it is closed (it is a hole through the bracket). I am wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and might let me know how they handled it.

I will be posting to bike specific forums but my recent posts have been the only ones and have gone unanswered.
