Often when listening to boxers being interviewed we can glean some hints to aging and the problems it causes to our reflexes or response times to stimuli that signal our brain we need a quick response. Older fighters time and time again complain of, "couldn't get off tonight".(Keep it clean please)But, typically what they are talking about is a bad night in the ring due to a lag in time to the brain saying "hit" or " duck". It is widely accepted that an older fighter cannot respond as fast to an opponent's actions, as he did when he was younger. I believe that we are affected the same ways on our bikes, as well. Perhaps working the light bags such as the double end bag, and speed bag can improve our reaction times somewhat. Plus it helps with concentration, instinctive movement, and hand, eye, coordination. Just a thought
