How we define a"good deal" is personal. There are some aids we can use to understand relative values of used motorcycles. Kelly Blue book http://www.kbb.com/motorcycle with resale, and wholesale data from 1970
NADA http://www.nadaguides.com/default.a...&gc=mc&any=0 Only lists 1995 to current, Low, and average retail,
Despite everything we believe, add-ons do not increase the trade-in value.
Ebay, Craigslist, and cycletrader, will show what particular models are being sold for, in YOUR area, but remember, many sellers do not get their "asking price"
Google the make/model, and look for "owner's forums" the people who own and ride the bikes can be the greatest source of information.

Nadaguides does list used motorcycle values for pre 1995 you just need to go under the "Vintage" section. It lists 5 conditions and their corresponding price. Poor, Fair, Good, Very Good, and Excellent. |

Thanks for the links! I have recently been looking at a lot of used Dyna's and the extras are what often kills the deal for me. When a seller says "$ 5,000 in extras!" I often find myself thinking" It will cost a lot to get rid of this stuff".
